Our History and what we Believe In
BISHOP GODBLESS ABU
I am an African American, born to Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Alice Abu in Benin, Nigeria. My father, mother, and grandparents were from Orogho town (popularly known as Orogho second london) i was raised in a deeply Aizenu religious household, where my grandfather served as the high priest of Aizenu society group. My parents were both devout worshipers and farmers in their days. I was exposed to the Aizenu society group from an early age. In 1982, while attending Muslim College in Ijebu Ode, I embraced Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. Following my conversion I attended the Apostolic Faith Church in Ijebu Ode. In 1986, I relocated to Lagos, where I worshiped with the Deeper Life bible church for a short period. By 1991, I returned to Ijebu Ode and joined the New Covenant Church. In 1992 I became a pastor and established a branch of the New Covenant Church in Sagamu town. In 1998, I was elected as P.F.M (Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria) executive member in Sagamu town, under the chairmanship of Rev. Segun Oluwasesan. I continued in this role until 2000.
One Faithful evening in 1997, during my prayer, I experienced a divine encounter in which Jesus Christ came into my bedroom. And The Lord asked me a question “Can’t you see how your young men are perishing for lack of wisdom and knowledge?” and I responded, Lord, I need wisdom, and the Lord Jesus held me in my two hands and lifted me up. Immediately every part of me died except my ears. This experience marked a turning point in my life. Following this encounter, myself, my wife Roseline, along with my three children, embarked on a street evangelism and serious campaign, from house to house, street to street in Sagamu town, Nigeria, spreading the gospel. My evangelistic mission led me to Eleweran Prison in Abeokuta City, where I ministered to many notorious criminals awaiting public execution. All of them believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that night at my preaching.
In November 2000, an angel of the Lord appeared to me at midnight and led me to California in the United States. A few months later I felt compelled by God to take my ministry to the nations. A year later, while in California, Jesus appeared to me again, emphasizing the urgency of my mission. and nations, equipping people with the knowledge needed for salvation. In 2004, one midnight while working in Argon Engineering facility, Fairfax Virginia, I had another divine encounter where Jesus showed me a whole nation consumed in flame. In 2009 Jesus Christ came again to me early in the morning. The Lord Jesus shewed unto me the whole world with multitudes of people standing like statues, and the Lord Jesus asked me, “Can’t you deliver man from the world before I pour my wrath upon them?” I was overwhelmed, and responded, “Lord, what can a mortal man like me do?” Jesus replied, “Go and deliver my people.” This vision troubled my heart above all, i intensified my evangelistic efforts.

In August 2010, I was preparing for a mission trip to Toronto, Canada. I hide myself in the closet for prayer and fasting three days. During this time, ‘’ I saw myself sitting with the Lord Jesus Christ in a Chariot. We rode in a Chariot around a nation covered in thick darkness. I saw people like shadows covered in darkness as we rode in a chariot together. After this encounter, I take Christ and his gospel personally because he takes me personally. I take the gospel of Christ from house to house, from church to church, from city to city and from nation to nation
In 2020, I had another supernatural experience during covid 19 pandemic. During our 284 days of fasting and prayer, in a night vision I heard an unusual melody from heaven vibrating the earth, iI ran outside to see what it was. Behold, I saw a multitude of angels on houses and chariots descending with Jesus Christ to the earth. Believe me this is not something anyone should miss. The coming of the Lord is closer than we think.
In 2023 I was in my bed praying when I saw a man with a huge search light coming from my front door pass through my sitting room toward my bedroom, and my door was locked. I was wondering who, Upon closer observation, I realized it was the Lord Jesus Christ. Over the years, I have seen Jesus more and more and I continue to receive divine visitations from angels who bring me messages concerning my mandate and the Kingdom of God. I firmly believe that my encounters with the Lord Jesus Christ are purely by God’s grace and mercy, not by personal merit or prayer. I remain steadfast in my mission, utilizing every available medium, including radio, television, crusades, to spread the gospel. I am dedicated to saving the lost souls and preparing people for the Kingdom of God. I am blessed with four children and Grandchildren who are actively involved in ministry alongside my wife.
